The theoretical foundation for this course lies within International Research in Religious Coping and Existential Meaning Making, and speakers will include international experts in the field. Furthermore, the basis of the course stems from ”The Meaning Making Matrix” (MMM) developed by Peter la Cour og Niels Christian Hvidt. MMM is a model that clarifies how existential meaning making takes place in all domains of life. Additionally, the model elucidates how existential meaning making is conducted within a secular, a spiritual and/or a religious frame of interpretation. There will be rich opportunity for ph.d.-students and other researchers from especially the Nordic countries to meet and discuss their research, with particular emphasis on the presentation of ongoing projects with feedback from senior researchers. The seminar is organized in collaboration between The Graduate Programme for Social Studies in Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark and the Nordic Network for Research in Faith and Health” (www.faith-health.org).
