Ingela Visuri is about to publish a PhD-dissertation that may be of interest to you.
It is titled “Varieties of Supernatural Experiences: The Case of High-Functioning Autism” and will be defended at Södertörn University (Stockholm) on June 7th. Psychological anthropologist Tanya Luhrmann from Stanford University will serve as opponent.
The thesis can be described as a psychological and cognitive study of supernatural ideas and experiences in autistic individuals, and operates in the intersection between the humanities oriented study of religions and cognitive science of religion.
